Is It Wise To Enrage 70 Million Voters?

Abortion is not the big issue in America shrill progressive kooks want it to be. Yes, Sen. Barbara Boxer and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, despite both being in their dotage, have never once campaigned for re-election without insisting if they lose, women will be having abortions in back alleys in Tijuana somewhere, but that doesn’t make it true.  People get mobilized over goofy referendums over limiting abortion that stand no chance of being successful – so mobilized they don’t realize it is their own side that brings up the court cases so they can knock it down – but no one in the mainstream is worried.

I don’t care about abortion – every civilized country except America limits the date you can perform an abortion but we have also made airline travel a third world experience and I wish both those things would change, yet I am not leaving the country over either – and a lot of religious people don’t care about abortion, because the federal government does not allow taxpayer money to be used for it.

Yet a week after proclaiming Jesus told him to raise taxes and, of his sudden election year religious fervency, “I have fallen on my knees with great regularity since that moment – asking God for guidance not just in my personal life and my Christian walk, but in the life of this nation and in the values that hold us together and keep us strong,” religious people are wondering what religious values told him that he should force churches to pay for birth control.

70 million Catholic voters who mostly let the abortion issue go, because they are not required to pay for it, are being whipped into a frenzy after being told their money has to go toward birth control now.  National Abortion Rights Action League President Andrea Miller says it is the right of every women to have someone else pay for their birth control, naturally, but she makes her living fomenting conspiracy theories so that’s expected.

How many Catholics voted for Obama?  The East is littered with Catholics and they voted for Obama – and the Hispanic vote is overwhelmingly Catholic and they mostly went for him in 2008. He should stick to throwing taxpayer money at failed solar companies where his friends are on the Board of Directors and not make people crazy this time of year

Pres. Obama may have discovered the only way to get Catholics to vote for a Mormon.  He’d better hope abortion is as much of a non-issue today as I said it is in the first paragraph.
